stephen's stupid house/avengers haunted clubhouse vibes

I'll make this pretty later but FOR NOW -

Inside, the house is all dark woods and heavy fabrics, antique furnishings offset with modern appliances and conveniences. Somebody else's family portraits hang in the stairwells, secret passages open up hidden routes around the house, and there's the odd feeling that things aren't always where you expect them to be - keys, that glass you just put down, windows, your bedroom door. If it seems bigger inside than the exterior really accounts for, it's best not to think about it. Some places just have a mind of their own, and a sorcerer pulling a few strings.

In Stephen's absence the entire place has a vague sense of foreboding to it, like there's always something lurking just around the corner, someone right behind you about to breathe down your neck. When he's home, the feeling shifts: lights are warmer, rooms more inviting, those cold spots you might walk through gone, the kitchen's flagstone no longer looking to freeze your feet off. The house will warm up to its new inhabitants exactly as quickly as they make a house a home, that constant unsettling feeling fading into welcome with time and with care, but it has its allegiance, so be careful how you treat both it and its primary caretaker.

There are three occupied bedrooms: one Stephen's, two others notably very green - one clearly a teenager's, the other belonging to someone with more refined tastes, both exuding the kind of magical potency that might encourage anyone sensitive to it to keep out. Aside from that there's a library room on the second floor with a smaller study/office room inside that (the latter often locked when he's not around), a sun room on the ground floor at the back of the house, a fancy bathroom with one-way garden views, huge claw-foot tub and separate rainfall shower on the second floor, a reception room off the ground floor entrance hall with yet more books and a lot of comfy seating options, and a huge old kitchen with island and breakfast table.

The basement is strictly out of bounds and intensely magically warded, the attic room in the house's central tower acts as his magical supply closet and is slightly less intensely protected with access granted by spelled key.

The rest of the house is a free for all! Assume the existence and the location of usual rooms you might find in a house at your leisure, Weird Happenings one might encounter in a haunted ex-cursed house (the place was a den for wayward young magic users for at least a decade previous to Stephen taking over so fine to have some random spell go off for fun), please just check in if anyone's potentially looking to make any major IC changes to the interior or exterior or if there's damage caused through shenanigans etc just so I can keep track or have Stephen ICly weigh in.
